Truss Rod Adjustments
Truss rod adjustments provide the proper neck and fretboard relief for optimum action. The neck often needs to be adjusted when excessive humidity has caused the wood in the guitar neck to swell - a common problem here in Florida. Or when a different gauge of strings are installed. Care must be taken when making adjustments to the truss rod, and only the proper tools should be used to prevent damaging the truss rod or the truss rod nut. We have the tools and the experience to adjust your guitar’s truss rod. $15
Bridge Repair or Replacement
The bridge, being the focal point of all the string tension, can often fail, requiring repair or replacement. We can adjust, repair, or replace your electric guitar bridge, and shave or replace your acoustic guitar saddle with a plastic (not recommended), bone, or tusq one. A better bridge or saddle for your guitar can improve the tone and sustain of the instrument. And an incorrectly cut saddle can cause fret buzz when you play.
We can also install a Bigsby tremolo bridge, in some cases without making modifications that will alter your vintage electric guitar.
Saddle replacement:
Acoustic $20 (plastic) $30 (bone) $40 (tusq)
We strongly suggest purchasing new strings before replacing an electric guitar bridge.
